DESCRIPTION:Join Central Jersey Arts Council featuring animation artist Chevez Sanchez in a workshop for animations 101! \nDay 01 \nIn the first hour\, an introduction to basic animation for young artists. Demonstrating and teaching them about stop motion and how to use stop motion studio on the iPad. \nAn explanation of the different ways they can do stop motion. In our workshop\, they’ll be able to experiment with claymation\, puppetry animation\, and live-action stop motion. Encouraging the students to pick the medium they feel most excited about. \nAfter the lecture\, it’ll be time for the young artists to animate! We’ll split into groups depending on how many students attend. Collaboration is encouraged but isn’t required. The students can pick which way they want to animate. Some may want to work with puppets\, others may take to clay\, and there will undoubtedly be students who want to work together to make live-action stop motion. Live action stop motion is fun because they don’t need anything to do it but their bodies. They can slide around the arts center or “fly” too! https://youtu.be/D6TI9xvJ2ug \nOnce they’ve decided how to animate\, they can begin their projects. \nDay 02 \nDay two will be all animation. Students can decide if they want to continue what they started or try something new. The goal is to experiment with these accessible forms of energy and spark interest. At the end of the workshop\, animation artist Chevez Sanchez will gather the seconds from each group and compile them.
